I find that I am better, and a better counsellor, the more I seek to grow myself. Counselling is a life-saving resource for many and those who seek help from us deserve skilled, continuously improving practitioners. That's why I am committed to helping other counsellors grow and develop in their own counselling journey.
I have been involved in counselling training since 2016, working first as a tutor on a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy Research, and then teaching on an Advanced Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling. I now run CPD and individual skills sessions for people wanting to improve their practice.

If you are a student counsellor I am offering the opportunity for one-to-one sessions to work on your skills. This might be in advance of a recording or specific assessment, or it might just be to improve your work with a specific client who you are struggling to make progress with. I have been involved in training students since 2016, and have a good track record in giving helpful feedback or advice in this area.
If you've been a counsellor for a long time, it is easy to fall into ways of working or habits that are moving you further away from your modality or framework. I have found value in discussing particular techniques or specific interventions with other professionals. It gives me confidence to take particular techniques back into my counselling sessions with clients safely.
